Thankful for True Upliftment

Feedback from Zama Masondo, a Unisa student and aspiring gardener:

"My name is Zama Masondo. I am 28 years old and I live in KwaMaphumulo, KwaMaqumbi. I am a student at UNISA, studying for a Bachelor of Arts in African Languages and Information Science, and I am in my second year.
Farming or gardening helps me a lot because I was raised by my mother only. Gardening has been very helpful to me because it allows me to pay for my school fees when needed, and I am also able to buy food for home since there is no one working — we survive on my grandfather’s pension.
My wish is to be able to continue with agriculture so that I can help my community or my local youth, and to encourage others about the importance of education and becoming a better person. I wish to succeed one day.I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Mzikayise Ndlovu Foundation and Emseni Farming — they have played a very big role and have restored the hope I had lost in my life. Today, I sell vegetables because of them. I am truly thankful.
